Speckled medium ear grown in a 1.9 meter tall corn stalk. Ear measures 9.9 cm in length and 2.4 cm in diameter. 20.4 grams of kernels. 8 row variety.

Speckled corn ear. This ear grew on a 2.2 m tall corn stalk; it measured 10.7 cm in length and 2.9 cm in diameter. It is a 10 row variety.

Cherokee Glass Gem (Zea mays) corn grown in the garden during summer 2020. The red ear was especially appealing. This is a 10 row pop corn. Carl "White Eagle" Barnes, a Cherokee farmer and corn breeder from Oklahoma, isolated this strain. John Northrip gave me a small bag of kernels that were planted on 10 April 2021. Red kernel ear. Harvested 16 Sept. 2020. It was produced on a 1.7 m tall corn stalk. The ear measured 8.2 cm in length and 2.6 cm in width. It is an 8 row variety.

One of the larger ears in the garden. The corn stalk measured 2.3 meters tall. The ear measured 12.7 cm in length and 2.9 cm in diameter. 276 kernels on the ear. 10 row corn.

A speckled ear (not photographed) was produced on a 2.3 meter tall corn stalk. The ear measured 12.8 cm in length and 3.2 cm in diameter. It contained 64.7 grams of kernels.
A speckled ear (not photographed) was produced on a 1.95 meter tall corn stalk. The ear measured 8.4 cm in length and 2.4 cm in diameter. It contained only 3.9 grams of kernels because of pollination problems (ear produced too late).
A speckled ear (not photographed) was produced on a 1.65 meter tall corn stalk. The ear measured 8.8 cm in length and 2.8 cm in diameter. It contained 15.0 grams of kernels. Bees were trying to nest inside the husk when it was harvested.
