Selu (Cherokee, Corn = Zea mays), variety Glass Gem

Cherokee Glass Gem (Zea mays) corn grown in the garden during summer 2020. The red ear was especially appealing. This is a 10 row pop corn. Carl "White Eagle" Barnes, a Cherokee farmer and corn breeder from Oklahoma, isolated this strain. John Northrip gave me a small bag of kernels that were planted on 10 April 2021. Photograph of the ear of corn on 4 September 2020.
